1. Inti Raymi - Peru

📅 When: 24th of June

Step back in time with Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun, in Cusco, Peru. This ancient Incan celebration honours the sun god, marking the winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere. The festival features vibrant parades, traditional music and traditional costumes. Participants gather at the site of Sacsayhuamán for a reenactment of Incan rituals.


2. Dragon Boat Festival - China

Experience the thrill of the Dragon Boat Festival in China, commemorating the legendary poet Qu Yuan. This festival is marked by exhilarating dragon boat races, where teams paddle in unison to the beat of drums. 3. Midsummer - Sweden

In Sweden, Midsummer is one of the most beloved holidays, celebrating the summer solstice. Swedes welcome the long daylight hours with dancing around the maypole, wearing flower crowns and feasting on traditional foods, like pickled herring and new potatoes.


4. Haro Wine Festival - Spain

📅 When: 28th - 30th of June

Join the playful chaos of the Haro Wine Festival, or Batalla del Vino, in Spain’s La Rioja region. Held in the town of Haro, participants dress in white and engage in a friendly battle, drenching each other in red wine. The festival includes a lively parade, bullfighting and plenty of wine-drinking competitions.

5. Night of San Juan - Spain

📅When: 23rd of June

Celebrate the Night of San Juan along Spain’s beaches, particularly in Alicante and Barcelona. This event features bonfires, fireworks, and various rituals believed to bring good luck. People jump over fires and take midnight dips in the sea to cleanse themselves and welcome good fortune.
